Members fluffchucker Posted June 6, 2012 Members Report Posted June 6, 2012 Hi ya I tend to work with veg tanned. I only want to carry a small stock and wish to cover many needs. I've been using belting leather which burnishes and tools. But what if I use tooling russet? Dye and oil it etc Trying to make masks hence tooling russet. Wish to make the odd sheath and rifle sling. Also make (oh how to put this!)....Leather objects that impact. So flexibility is needed and longevity. Basically is there a good base leather? Cheers Ian Quote
