philippe Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 I am trying to make a two tone turk's head or Gaucho knot but i cant seem to find anywhere on how exactly two colors are incorporated into the design. There are many pictures of them but no instructions. This is an example of what I am talking about, the end knot on the whip how do they get two colors in there? Or am I attempting the wrong knot? Thnk you in advance for any help or instructions or links to instructions. Quote
Members troy Posted June 14, 2012 Members Report Posted June 14, 2012 There is probably some instructions out their in www land but by far the most useful book I have found is this - http://ramsskullpress.com/products-page/leatherwork/141-2/ - has literally loads of different knots, is proabaly the braided knot to have, like ashleys really - enough knots for all occasions with very clear instructions. HorsehairBraider Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Pretty easy, really: tie the Turk's head or casa knot in one color, when you start doing the rest of the knot change colors. Easy peasy. Quote They say princes learn no art truly, but the art of horsemanship. The reason is, the brave beast is no flatterer.
