Members Studio Apocalypse Posted August 14, 2012 Members Report Posted August 14, 2012 I just inherited a hair on horse hide that's 60+ years old and has probably spent the last 40 years in storage somewhere. What are some ways that I can clean up and preserve the hair side? The hair is 2 to 5 inches in length, and has been vacuumed gently. Hair feels dry to the touch. What would you use on the flesh side to preserve it for another 60+ years? Has a fair amount of flexibility and folds without complaint or cracking, but very dry and brittle for about an inch in on the edges. Pictures to come. Quote
