so i would like to know which leather do i need for the uppers for the sole for the lining... i heatd that you can use a hemp thread is that true.

What would be the best book where all of this is fully mentioned.

for upper part u may use aniline or semi aniline finished leather thickness around 1.2-1.6 mm , its really depend on which types shoe u gonna made

and for linning u may use vagitabble tanned leather thinkness around .5-.8mm

you may follow hand book of a footwear tech.
