Members Haroldson Posted December 10, 2012 Members Report Posted December 10, 2012 Got a couple of questions if anyone has time. When I look online at Springfield or at my bathroom copy of the Tandy catalog I don't see the weight of belt strips listed. Anyone know what weight they are? I would like to make a couple of stitched and lined leather belts, am I better off cutting my own from two different weights? Does anyone know of a source for high quality garrison belt buckles? I'd like to find solid brass if possible. Quote
Chief31794 Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 The ones at Springfield and Tandy are usually 8/9 oz I believe. If you want to line the belt, Springfield will split strips for you to any width you want. The price to split a strip is usually ~$1.00, however, sometimes they waive that. Another good thing about Springfield is that the belt strips are from Hermann Oak. They have very knowledgeable folks and will give you what you want. Chief Quote
