Members DJayhawk Posted December 11, 2012 Members Report Posted December 11, 2012 So I was reading my twitter feed when I saw a project idea posted from the art of manliness about a wallet. I was intrigued and set out build it. I printed the pattern read the directions a couple of times, and watched a few you tube videos. Then I went to the local Tandy got $12 scrap of leather, needles, and thread. I'm in to this project a little over $20. Now I have it made, and while its not absolutely perfect, but its my first project and has peaked my interest in this craft. So my questions are how can I seal up the edges with stuff around the house or in the garage? Also should I put some type of treatment on the leather or just keep it natural? Thanks for any help! Members Blackie Posted December 12, 2012 Members Report Posted December 12, 2012 A couple light coats of olive oil is what I prefer on veg tan leather, as for the edges what exactly do you mean by sealing. Check out the pinned article on finishing edges. Quote
