Members AnnainOK Posted January 1, 2013 Members Report Posted January 1, 2013 Hey y'all! Happy New Year! I'm new to leatherworking. My husband bought a starter kit for me a couple months ago, and with the holidays behind us, I have time to spend learning something new. My interest in leather has been around for years, but was piqued last fall while attending Cub Scout Camp with our son. (We have three grown daughters, and our boy is nine.) I have other interests, including basket-making, nature photography, and fossil hunting/rock hounding. We home school, live on a small farm in SE Oklahoma, and I repair computers on the side. (I worked for 17 years as an environmental health specialist in Missouri.) Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading the forum and picking up some tips and tricks--I'm really hoping to getting my son interested in it as well--although he's busy building model planes with Dad at the moment! Thanks for making this forum available to us. Anna Quote

Members Double U Leather Posted January 1, 2013 Members Report Posted January 1, 2013 Welcome aboard Ms. Anna. Where at in SE Oklahoma? I used to announce a rodeo in Hugo, OK. That's pretty SE!! Anyway, welcome. Quote
Members AnnainOK Posted January 1, 2013 Author Members Report Posted January 1, 2013 Just a few miles east of Hugo, out by the lake, Double U! Quote
Members Double U Leather Posted January 1, 2013 Members Report Posted January 1, 2013 I'll be darned. I bet you know the folks that put on the rodeo. They live east of town also. I think they're east. I remember turning left at Jeff's Party Palace to go to their house for the annual catfish feast every year. Small world. Quote
