Members Ladyface Posted January 5, 2013 Members Report Posted January 5, 2013 (edited) Has anyone used the new eco flo pro water stain in black yet? If so... what kind of buffing was required? How did you seal it? Did you have to put anything underneath it? And lastly, did it give you a nice black?? Sorry for all the questions,....just wanted to get right to the point. Members Driften Posted January 10, 2013 Members Report Posted January 10, 2013 I used it and it worked nice. I did not do anything special in buffing or finishing. Its been stable and does not rub off badly like some black dyes. You can see it on this holster... be advised that it is the first holster I have made. Quote
Members billymac814 Posted January 18, 2013 Members Report Posted January 18, 2013 My personal preference is to buff as little as possible. I've tried a number of black dyes and the Pro oil dye requires almost no buffing and doesn't rub off as bad as the others. I will say I have no experience with the Eco flow stuff, my experience is all with spirit dyes which I feel are a better choice however that isn't based on anything but opinion so take it for what its worth.
