Members PutnamLeather Posted January 10, 2013 Members Report Posted January 10, 2013 Gotta cold steel thrower for christmas and decided to spruce it up a bit. I used eco-flow dye, neetsfoot oil, and acrylic resoleen to finnish. Quote
Members bluesman1951 Posted January 10, 2013 Members Report Posted January 10, 2013 Nicely done . Does the leather on the handle changing the throwing any ? Quote
Jaymack Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Nice, but you've spruced it up too much. It's too nice to throw now! Quote
Members PutnamLeather Posted January 10, 2013 Author Members Report Posted January 10, 2013 Na, they put 6ft of paracors around a 1oz leather wrap so the weight is about the same.plus I was turned on to spear style throwing by Ralph Thorn so even if the balance was off a bit it would be ok. And the way I figure it is if it gets messed up I'll just be able to do it again. Quote
Members Nappers Posted January 10, 2013 Members Report Posted January 10, 2013 Looks great! At muzzleloading rendezvous' I throw hawk and knife and your knife looks great. I'm making one (slowly) out of a chainsaw bar. Quote
Members PutnamLeather Posted January 10, 2013 Author Members Report Posted January 10, 2013 A chainsaw knife sounds cool, I hope you post some pics when you get it finnished. Quote
