Using Bluegrass Ez Edger

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased one of these but am finding it difficult to use. I want to make simple leather bracelets about an inch thick. The handle to pull the leather through the blades pricks the bottom of the leather leaving a significant mark that I think devalues the piece. But I can't reach in to pull out through either due to the small width. Plyers leave a mark as well. Any idea on how to use this on smaller pieces? Thanks ahead of time.

Maybe try running longer pieces through before you cut them to size that way you can cut the little bit off that got marked. It might be easier to run belt length straps through and then cut them to size. Ive never used that edger so I can't really offer any better advice.

I visited a shop that has one. He does mostly plain or creased straps and does like Billy said. He allows some extra and cuts it off.
