Clicker/Equipment moving etc

Recommended Posts

All,

A few folks have asked me HOW to move a clicker in the easiest most cost effective fashion. I have owned a couple and always need to move some heavy iron thing to another spot/home/shop (my current shop is mobile, an 07 cargo trailer fitted out with a complete shop, I take everything everywhere!).

Pallet Jack: Usually available to rent at local tool/equipment rental outfits, these are KEY to moving around a shop and into/out of trucks/trailers.

Wooden blocks: Lots of them, 2 by 4, 4 by 6, cut lots, you need them to space the heavy stuff while lifiting.

Iron Pipe: I like 1" and as wide as the equipment might be, put the pipe under the tools and PUSH!

"come along" winch: Hand powered, works awesome to move and strap down stuff.

Vehicles:

- A guy I know keeps his clicker on a cheap trailer, the Home Depot single axle style. It's backed into his shop, good idea.

-Lift Gate Truck: Rental from local truck outfits, back up to shop, pull/push/winch pallet jack and equipment on to gate and lift...works AWESOME.

-Engine Hoist: Good for smaller stuff, lifts ANYTHING and is cheap to rent/borrow.

Anyway, these are my tricks, hope it helps!

Andy

PS Email for more details if you are moving anything!
