Leather Photo Album

I have done a little leatherwork years ago and want to get back into leatherworking. The question I have is I would like to learn how to make some photo albums and was wondering, do you need to put a stiffner in to keep the leather from bending. I want to learn so bad but, I need all your guidence to help me out. What tthickness leather to use. Any help/photo's you can share with me will be well appreaciated.
