Members TMcc Posted March 31, 2013 Members Report Posted March 31, 2013 I'll warn that I'll have questions and probably lots of them. I'm a noob to leathercrafting and practing with some small projects for me. I'm currently laying out a sheath for a small hand saw that I use for my work. My question is what should I use for a liner? I'm afraid that I'll end up cutting the stitching every time I draw it out. I'm thinking of forming a piece of rawhide for a liner? Can someone help me find harware for another project I'm working on? Sorry if this is in the wrong place..... posted this in the hardware forum too. TMcc Quote
dirtclod Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Trace you saw out on paper or what ever. The add 3/8 inch all the way around. That will be your cutting pattern. Cut your leather. After you cut it out cut your pattern 5/16 inch on the 3/8's line and that will be your welt to keep from cutting stitches when you take it and put it in Quote
