SolidZane Report post Posted April 14, 2013 Ok, I'm 100% new to leather working. I only recently got interested... I'll obviously be learning while making my first wallet as well... So, basically I want to make a wallet that has a "Mockingjay pin" on the exterior but set into or somewhat flush with the leather surface... See my attached picture for what I don't want... The pin here is simply poked through the leather and clipped. The pin rotates freely and occasionally falls off if I'm not careful enough... I have had a few thoughts on what I could do to make the pin stay put, but not to stop the rotation... Like welding a piece of metal to the pin inside the wallet... But I'd rather get some opinions first... So, any takers? And yes... I am that big of a Hunger Games fan...
David8386 Report post Posted April 14, 2013 You might be able to find a concho that has that design on it. Most conchos have a screw back and a lot have a little stud that digs into the leather to keep it from turning. Trigg brothers on the internet has a lot of different ones. I don't know about that specific design. Another option would be to tool the design on a wallet back. Hope this helps some. David
