Hi folks, newbie here. I just found the site today...and I love the atmosphere and help generously provided.

I have not done any leather work in about 40 yrs. I still have all of my tools...some in good shape, and some not so good. In the past, I have made belts, clogs, handbags, wallets, a holster, and this rendition of the covers of a SC outdoor magazine. I made this when I was a boy of 15 or 16 (don't really remember). I am surprised that the dyes are still holding some of their color. Carolina Wren on the left, wood ducks on the right.

I have recently taken up electric guitar (bucket list) and I have an interest in making guiar straps. I will be gravitating over to that portion of the site to ask my newbie questions.

Thanks for allowing me to join your site, I look forward to learning much.

take care.....peter.

Hey Peter, welcome to the forum. I am from Patrick S.C. I am about 75 miles from Lowe's Motor Speedway, about 30 mi. from Darlington, and about 35 mi from Rockingham track and drag strip. I too like hunting and fishing, especially bass fishing. I just can't do it as often as I'd like too now, because of health reasons. Later Biily Perdue
