Members LHeyden Posted June 12, 2013 Members Report Posted June 12, 2013 Hi All, new here. Found this site while trying to find out more about my new/old saddle. I purchased it at an auction for $100. It has a Cole Saddle Company San Jose mark on it, but all I can find about this company is a fancy schmancy parade saddle, this in not one of those, just a heavy duty working saddle. Any clue on age, history, value of this saddle? If not, where could a person go to find out more? Thanks for your help. Quote
Members Saddlebag Posted June 17, 2013 Members Report Posted June 17, 2013 (edited) Unfortumately with many of the older saddles, saddles with minor flaws wouldn't bear the maker's name and gave the retailers a deal. The retailers would have their name stamped into the leather. I'm wondering about Colorado Saddlery making this saddle. Edited June 17, 2013 by Saddlebag Quote
Members LHeyden Posted June 17, 2013 Author Members Report Posted June 17, 2013 Thank you for your response. Actually, the maker Cole Saddlery (San Jose) is stamped on the front of the seat. I can't find any information on them. Quote
