Super Shene Darkens The Color?

I dyed some natural vegtanned leather with fiebings oil dye saddle tan.

I let it dry and the color came out the way i wanted.

When i applyed the tandys super shene it darkened the whole piece into a very dark brown color, far away from the original color. I thought that it would go away when the piece dryed but it still got the very dark brown color.

Is this normal or did I do something wrong here?
