Members Ronin19587 Posted January 25, 2014 Members Report Posted January 25, 2014 Using my mad scientist skills I made a dye using rubbing alcohol, food coloring and liquid pectin to raise.the viscosity to my liking, im not the measuring cup type of guy, so I don't know the ratios that would yield the best results, But it was roughly half a bottle of alcohol to Two pouches of pectin, with enough mixed food coloring to get the color I wanted, only tested on small scraps, will update with more results and photos Quote
Members cem Posted January 25, 2014 Members Report Posted January 25, 2014 I did some experiments with this a few years ago minus the liquid pectin though, you can get some really nice colours especially if you are after bright vibrant ones the trouble is they are not very light fast and fade pretty quickly so I wouldn't use them on anything that gets a lot of light.
