Members MuddyClearWaters Posted February 21, 2014 Members Report Posted February 21, 2014 After recently getting my Twin needle 52W19 up and running I'm now exploring getting a walking foot machine. Neither of my machines are supposed to sew #138 and I would still like to have the capability as I have about 8 lbs of thread. Anyone have any recommendations on models you use for this type of thread. Quote Custom Leather Bicycle Saddles and Accessories www.carsonleh.com Singer 110W124 Singer 52W19

Members Anne Bonnys Locker Posted February 27, 2014 Members Report Posted February 27, 2014 Pretty much any machine that runs a standard style bobbin case - or shuttle when talking about 111, 211 styles - is at its maximum with 138. Over time bonded nylon can cause wear on parts so I always suggest a machine with a replaceable bobbin case as these are relatively cheap. Quote Darren Brosowski
