Hello there...

I´m currently dealing with a question:

I wish to do a kind of cloud or marble effect on some pieces of vegtan I made.

Has anyone ever done something like that and could tell me how?

Those are the facts about the project:

- Color (like red, blue or violet) should be marbled with black

- I would prefer Fiebings products (I got a lot of them, they are easier to get here in Germany)

- The tools don´t matter...I have daubers, brushes, sponges and airbrush available

For me its about "wet on dry?", "wet in wet" etc....

Thanks already...

Another method you could do is airbrush the dye onto the leather. Lots of video on how to airbrush marble affect with acrylics and i suppose you could with leather dye as well.

painters taks sponges and blot on paint. You have to look out for the paint clumping up this way.

I have done a little with that effect. I used a sea sponge like DavidL mentioned the painters doing.
