Members Sxxx1 Posted July 11, 2014 Members Report Posted July 11, 2014 Greetings, first post here! I just picked up a Krebs type splitter that is missing the hold down roller. Has any one an idea of what the diameter and length is of roller that is missing? I will need to make one and would prefer to do it once rather than 'feel' my way to the correct diameter. With the adjustment available fore/aft of the cutter blade and the up/down roller, which I presume is to accommodate sharpening and wear, I would think it's not a hyper-critical diameter.... but it would be nice to start at the right dimension! The pin axles are present and have a .213" diameter which seems odd, but considering the age, and with another hobby of restoring 100-150 year old shotguns, weird dimensions don't surprise me! I appreciate the help, thanks. Quote
Moderator bruce johnson Posted July 11, 2014 Moderator Report Posted July 11, 2014 I checked some here and all were right at 8-1/2" long and diameter varied slightly between 1/2" to a scant 9/16".
