cholack Report post Posted July 14, 2014 Hi Guys, I was wondering if someone could give some guidance as to how to stitch this style of watch strap? The issue I am having is that it is just 1 hole and am having problems figuring out how to securely knot it off. Thanks in advance Choalck
jimmy eng Report post Posted July 28, 2014 You don't have to knot it. Once you've gone through the hole a few times pull the thread in between the layers and cut it there (leave a 'tail') so the end is hidden. If you want to knot it, cast the needle around the thread that's in the layers and do a overhand knot.
DavidL Report post Posted July 29, 2014 If you don't knot the thread it will come apart the same way your shoes will loosen up if you don't tie them up. The thread may hold up for a few months before it unravels. do a simple knot on the inside and clip the excess and it should hold up. If its stitching along the edge do an overhand knot, tuck the excess in the hole and add contact cement.
