luxefaire Report post Posted August 1, 2014 (edited) I found this digging a metal detector target in NM, the site was 1920s or earlier, some of the construction details are visible, nail holes, iron, and stitch lines....while out in nm I had a chance to buy a killer pair of small ladies boots of hand crafted leather from turn of 19th century, too much money, but I wanted them, they were so awesome and the work so meticulous, it would have been a super lesson just to study them...the skiving was superb, like on some of the finer horse leathers today...sorry pix aren't better these were taken over 10 years ago....moderator remove any ok...this shoe was 100% leather, all the parts I mean, except for the iron nails and probably hemp stitching...b Edited August 1, 2014 by luxefaire
