Members Vikti Posted August 16, 2014 Members Report Posted August 16, 2014 Does this stuff have a shelf life? I opened my can up for the first time in a good year or so and it's really dark brown with some black spots in it. I was wondering if it's still any good? I know your not suppose to let the stuff freeze and I don't think that it has but I wanting to know if it's still useable or should I just throw it out. Damon Quote
dirtclod Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 I have used it when it looked pretty bad and it worked fine. You wil more than likely need to add some thinner to it. Try it on some scrap and see what happens. For the last couple of years i have been useing Wellwood in the red can ( you can get it at the hardware store ) works just as well as Barge and is cheaper plus it doesn't get thick and gunkie like Barge will or it hasn't on me yet.
