Members rccolt45 Posted October 25, 2008 Members Report Posted October 25, 2008 Hi guys, I have been make some holsters as a hobby for several months. Usually I just go and pick up some single shoulder (I think) 8/9 0z leather at Tandys. It was good for a start but I wqant to bump it up to W & C after reading some posts here. The problem is that when I go to their web site they have several choices for example, skirting leather or briddle leather etc. I thought all I would order was some single shoulder 8/9 0z leather but I don't even see that description on the site. Clearly I am not up on the lingo. Can anyone tell me what I should ask for? Also do I want shoulder, belly or back leather? Thanks in advance. Quote
Members ChuckBurrows Posted October 25, 2008 Members Report Posted October 25, 2008 Since you are making holsters (per your sig) - call them and order one of the following: 1) one of their new (to them) 8/10 oz tooling double shoulders 2) an 8/10 oz back (more expensive but VERY clean thus less waste) 3) an 8/10 oz tooling side - they currently have them on sale for $90.00 flat rate Hope this helps.........
