mtn man Report post Posted September 4, 2014 I have made quite a few holsters both strong side and some cross/twist draw and I feel very comfortable with these. I am currently working on a cross draw that rides at more of an angle. Kinda like Rooster Cogburn's holster in the remake of True Grit. I am not sure how to make the belt loop for that angle. I will attach a pic from Chisholm Trail Leathers site that show a holster like the one I am trying to make. Any advice would be appreciated on how to make a belt loop for it. thanks in advance. TwinOaks Report post Posted September 4, 2014 I think the easiest way to do it is to add a panel to the back of the holster. You simply don't sew some select areas and those form the entrance/exit of the belt loop. By sewing in another panel and having a very small area for the belt to pass through, you can avoid some of the 'floppiness' that long tunnel loops can have.
