Members shagsj Posted November 10, 2014 Members Report Posted November 10, 2014 Hi I am wanting to take my leather work to the next level and thought trying my hand at saddles might be a go. I do not want to be a professional saddle maker but want to do good quality work. Questions. How do you know you're ready for this step? How do you learn? Thx Also I'm in Australia. Cheers Quote
Sandy Robbins Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 You need to read all you can on saddle construction. There is a great deal of information on this site on that subject. There are many books and DVDs that can help you. None of them are ever complete. There are alot of variations to do everything on a saddle. Buy the best leather and saddle tree you can afford. Start by doing your research and read! Good luck! Sandy Quote
