Members Shaun Boulder Posted December 31, 2014 Members Report Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) Hello, I recently joined the forum because of an interest in working with leather. I want to mainly make children's slippers, along with the occassional bag or wallet. I will be sewing several layers up to 10mm, usually less. I have an opportunity to buy an Adler 167-273, low mileage. It has a double needle system with a walking foot. Is has been used for making tents and such. What concerns me is the double needle system. The current owner assured me it can be operated with one needle as well. And I thought the double needle system could be useful in future projects. The 167-273 is meant for upholstery and leather. Are its leather sewing capabilities the same as a Adler 167-373? Is it the right machine for my job? Thank you for your response, and a happy New Year! Edited December 31, 2014 by Shaun Boulder Quote
