Members Alexis Sofield Posted January 16, 2015 Members Report Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) Hey guys, after some thought I decided to go with the weaver hand operated strap cutter. My business is basically all straps. My question is on the spacers. I understand that the spacers are all 1/16 short to accomodate the blade width of 1/16. I cant get my head around the math. If I want a 1 & 1/2 in strap, I use the 1 inch spacer ( minus the 1/16 ) , 1/2 in spacer ( minus 1/16 ) and a true 1/16 spacer. That still leaves me minus 1/16? After I account for the blade, it should be a true 1 & 1/2 in strap. BUT.....therers 2 blades. Im so confused.. Is 1 blade 1/32? SO 2 would be 1/16?ANd what if I want a 4 in strip...Doesnt the 1 in spacer * 4 net me a minus 1/4. how many true 1/16 do I need to fill in the gap including the blade widht. Am I over thinking this? Thanks. You guys have been great. Edited January 16, 2015 by Alexis Sofield Quote
