My opinion is just that, an opinion and no idea if it is the best way to go but something I would consider if doing such a project. I use DAP water based contact cement and has worked well for me. Available at most of the popular hardware stores and priced reasonable. May be something better but I am not aware of any other products. May be something better from a medical supplier that would be considered safe to use. Good luck and hope you find something that will do the trick. God Bless.
