I retired in January, and have made belts, cartridge carriers, wallets, etc. I have the oppertunity to pick up a old, but in good working condition a Singer 241-13, from a upholstery shop that is closing. What questions should I ask? My intention is to make leather pillows, and handbags.Its for sale for $350.00? Does anyone have experience with this machine? Is it worth the money? rusticbob Report post Posted March 17, 2015 Thanks for the info! Same shop also has a Singer class III, 152, machine that he said runs fine, but is out of timing. Can anyone suggest a good starter machine for leather pillows, handbags, pouches, etc. I will continue to handstitch the really heavy leathers.
