Navigating Nature Report post Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) Hi everyone! This is my first post and I have recently decided that I would like to expand my horizons into leatherworking. I purchased myself a Singer 16-141 machine with table in fairly good condition. The only problem is that it did not come with a bobbin case, bobbins or any needles. I was wondering if there was any member of these forums that can point me in the right direction as far as what I need to purchase for my machine to get it up and running. I have looked at the factory parts manual and it says that I need a 15277 bobbin case but from some of the videos that I have watched online, it says that there are different varieties of this bobbin case? Also the owner manual states that for cloth, that I need 16x63 needles and for leather that I need 16x64 needles both sized between 14-25. I could not find any needles matching this size online, is there a modern equivalent to what I can purchase for this machine? Thanks in advance. I will be spending the next couple of weeks going over old threads to educate myself on working with leather. Btw, this must be an obscure machine or one that wasn't too popular as there really isn't too much about it online. Nelsonic Report post Posted August 6, 2015 Nature, were you able to get replacement parts? I've run across one of these recently and was "shy" about buying it for fear of getting a high priced paper weight and/or boat anchor. Thanks!
