Members jwo825 Posted August 10, 2015 Members Report Posted August 10, 2015 Hello, My name's Jeremy. I've been bitten by the bug and decided to give leather working a try to see if I like it. I bought one of the deluxe stitching kits and some vegtan scraps from Tandy last week and I've had a little time to practice. Getting decent at the saddle stitch but I quickly realized I would need a stitching pony to be able to do make nice holes with the awl. I redid the shelving in the closet recently and had some scrap 1x6 so I found some plans here and made a pony. I think I spent $6 or $7 for the hardware. Not the prettiest and I still have to get some leather to pad it, but I look forward to using it and learning to hopefully make something nice later. I'm sure this forum will be invaluable to my success. Thanks for having me. Quote
