TranscendentalTopiary Report post Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Im going to be making a drawstring pouch, to add character to it without working the actual leather aside from dying it i bought a bolo clip and a screw back concho to secure the pouch closed. My issue here is that the concho spins on the bolo clip. Are they supposed to do this? I assume no. I'm thinking i can cut out a circle of leather and put it between the concho and the clip and that'll secure it in place and hide the clip which is visible. My second issue is the screw sits pretty high on the back side of the clip, does this interfere with it's ability to close properly? I have no clue, new to all of this. My next issue is the color, its nickel and i want antique brass but couldn't find this design (or any tbh)in antique brass (it matches perfectly the pattern i carved/stamped into a deck box that goes with the pouch.) I also couldnt find antique brass 00 gromets Im thinking to spray paint and seal all of this hardwear with a antique brass rustoleum spray paint. Anybody ever try this?
