Watch Strap Top Finish

Recommended Posts

Hi this is my first post in this forum. I wonder if you like to help me a little? I have done some straps from different kinds of leather. This i cow leather that i have dyed with some homemade dye. Made from vinegar and steel wool . The steel wool has rusted and when reacting to the leather becomes black. Only had a little of it so become blue. Then i have painted the strap in different leather colors.

Now my question? Want to make the strap as wear resistant as possible . What shall i use as a top coat? Any suggestions? Fiebings bag-cote? Please click on the picture .

Fiebings Bagkote maybe fine, but I've never used it. I've always used Tankote and a lacquer finish.
