x101airborne Report post Posted December 19, 2015 Afternoon. My name is Trey and I am in Victoria, Tx. Very new to leatherworking and hand made items. I do have a Seiko sewing machine and a few select hand tools but I don't know much about how to use them. The sewing machine I have been using on some small projects such as rifle slings and some canvas. I made a home made bird satchel, and it looks like I made it. Most of the stuff I have done is rough but serviceable and most of it is made out of scrap leather I get free at the saddle shop. I am a big hunter / shooter, so most of my items will be for firearms or field use. I am not into fancy, but like my granddaddy said, "Boy if you gonna be a paint stirrer, be the best paint stirrer out there". I am green as grass. Don't know what most of this stuff does or how to use it, so any help is appreciated and don't be scared to say something if you think it will help.
