acook59 Report post Posted January 23, 2016 Hey guys, so i see in my research that a lot of people use a marble block for stamping and hammering and punching etc. Where can i get a good thick one but small? Many thanks, Andrew

Add this to your searches "site:leatherworker.net" like this: marble for leatherwork site:leatherworker.net http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=56218
Bug Rancher Report post Posted January 23, 2016 Search "granite" or "marble" on your local craigslist. Often you can get a scrap piece for cheap or free, left over from somebody remodeling a kitchen or bathroom. Contact a countertop fabrication shop. They'll always sell scrap pieces by the sqft and sometimes even give samples that would work for small stamping projects.
JerryLevine Report post Posted January 24, 2016 The other place to try is your local undertaker/funeral or monumental mason. They often have unused/unusable pieces that are thicker than counter top remnants. Personally I prefer granite: it doesn't scratch as easily as marble.
