mrbaso Report post Posted February 8, 2016 Hi, I am totally new to the leatherworking hobby. I started this hobby because I really like watches. I wanted to buy a leather strap but it is very expensive, so I think, why didn't I try to make it myself? I started to get the idea on how to cut the leather, skiving leather, etc. There's this one thing that I haven't figure out yet, which is, how to make the knot / stitch on the strap? I found this article on the internet and it says," To do, pull one of the needles through the first hole and out the back, then bring it round to the front hole again, creating a full loop round the edge of the strap. Do the reverse of this with the other needle." (from clamldn wordpress). I am able to achieve a similar look that I want with this guide, but I am not sure if it is strong enough. I am afraid that the knot may easily becomes loose when I use it on the watch. Do you guys know how to do the knot on the photo? Can you give me a guide on how to do that? I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks!
