Hello everyone,

I'm in Florence looking for some amazing and special leather. I've decided on a crocodile leather belt.

I've seen 2 thus far, one by peruzzi and the other is a no brand belt. The one by peruzzi seems to be better made with no stitches. But the other seems to be a better hide because of the bigger scales.

Prices are euro 275 for peruzzi and 250 for the no name(After negotiations)

In your opinion which is the better one to buy?

Hello Hindori,

You ask a tough question. I could never be the judge of what would be the best buy based on pictures as it would be something I would have to lay hands on to make my selection.

In addition, I would want to know if they are genuine gator or croc or embossed cowhide?

The price is, in my opinion, very high but there mat be many factors here that I do not understand. Not meant to get any yea or nay comment started, simply my opinion, be it good or bad.

Everyone is entitled to receive what they think is a fair price for their work and as I said, I may not understand what is involved here.

I suppose I am not being of much assistance here but certain that you will make a determination and purchase the one that is best for you. Hope you are having a wonderful time and taking in all the sights and experiencing the ambience of the area.

God bless.

I never asked if it was gator or crocodile or if the hide was from the belly, I simply asked for their best quality crocodile belts and I see embossed on the reverse that it's genuine crocodile.

I agree about the price but I realize this is a special type of leather. I've seen Python belts for 100 euro and when I said I'll look elsewhere around town, the sales man dropped the price to 60 euro

Out of the 10+ leather shops I've walked into only 2 so far had crocodile. There were plenty of snake skin leather belts but no crocodile
