Members swanvesta Posted June 10, 2016 Members Report Posted June 10, 2016 Hi I want to make a wet formed pouch for air rifle pellets, which needs to be proofed on the inside. Firstly to stop the pellets picking up bits of leather, but more importantly to prevent the pellet lube from being rubbed off on the inside of the pouch. Would liquid latex be any good, or is there a better product / process available? Thanks in advance. Quote
Members Martyn Posted June 10, 2016 Members Report Posted June 10, 2016 You could use Resolene, I use it on the inside of sheaths. If you want a really heavy duty coating, you could paint the flesh side with rubber contact cement and let it dry completely. Quote
Members swanvesta Posted June 10, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 10, 2016 Thanks Martyn. I have resolene, so will try that first. Quote
Members Bonecross Posted June 14, 2016 Members Report Posted June 14, 2016 (edited) Resolene or rub in beeswax! Edited June 14, 2016 by Bonecross Quote
Members swanvesta Posted June 15, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 15, 2016 Hi Bonecross. Would you heat the beeswax after rubbing it in? Quote
Members Bonecross Posted June 15, 2016 Members Report Posted June 15, 2016 I've done it cold and it worked, the rubbing action sort of melts it. So heating is not necessary, rub it in good with your fingers Quote
