Risney15 Report post Posted September 21, 2016 Hey guys, I am new here and was going to order some supplies to practice my stitching. Going to practice on watch straps and wallets. What kind of leathers should I be looking for both the outside of the strap/wallet and the lining of the watch strap? Some leathers I have found are Chevre Chagrin, fjord calf, and 3oz or 5oz Veg Tanned by buttero. Will any of these do or all? A little lost starting up and could use some help. Thanks! thefanninator Report post Posted September 22, 2016 Chèvre Chagrin and the others you mentioned might be a little pricey for practicing on. Try Maverick Leather for some Horween 2nds.
