Can one machine stitch a toe plug in a handgun holster?

I always use my machine to stitch closed holster ends as needed. I want to add toe plug ends to my holsters though, and only find references to hand stitching the plugs into place. Have I just not found somewhere details a technique for machine sewing toe plugs? Thanks. Don.
