There are Electric creaser options, other than REGARD!

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys

This is Jun from youtube channel "leathertoolz"
(youtube.com/leathertoolz)

recently I got a message asking about electrical creaser.

I normally don't use any of electirc machine for my leather work because I go after "unplugged" leatherworking.

but I thought my advice can help you guide to your buying options.

The holy grail of electric creasing machine, you might think "REGARD" as you may heard Hermes uses this machine.

Most people are considering buying them but it's really expensive.

I suggest you two different kinds of electric creasing machine if you haven't heard of it.

ADECE : http://www.cuirtextilecrea.com/heating-tools-nr-110v-c102x2879508

Japanese electric creaser : https://leathercrafttools.com/item?id=10153

it is Japanese one. It has adjustable tip on it.  (I will do review on it in the future.)

These are both good alternatives other than REGARD.

I heard rumors that Hermes now changing their machine from REGARD to ADECE.

it's only rumors. if I ever work in Hermes, I will let you guys know. ; )

there have are two type of handle for ADECE,

This is the handle that can fit REGARD "tip"  (there are three size)

you don't need any adapter to fit the REGARD tip

This handle can fit ADECE "tip" (there are three size )

If you already have REGARD handle, you can NOT fit that handle to ADECE machine,

you will need to change the plug, with this one : http://www.cuirtextilecrea.com/connector-adece-type-c2x21675246

soldering is required, if you are not familiar with this kind of stuff, don't do it.

you can also find other good tools in their website, so take a look around.
