Members oddball Posted March 10, 2017 Members Report Posted March 10, 2017 Back awhile ago I bought some pigskin lining leather that has been folded for years is there any hope that I can get those foldlines out? There was a post back in 2014 that suggested dampening and hanging to remove lines has any one tried this or does anyone have any other suggestions? Quote
Members JustinPierce Posted March 10, 2017 Members Report Posted March 10, 2017 I used to order a lot of upholstery leather for a company I worked for, if it arrived folded I would reject it and send it back. We just couldn't get the fold lines completely out, to my satisfaction anyway. They were still visible even after stretching and pulling the leather into place. I know that doesn't help you much, but that's been my experience. Someone else may have a better suggestion for you. Quote
Members oddball Posted March 12, 2017 Author Members Report Posted March 12, 2017 Thanks anyways, I decided to cement it as a liner and the fold lines pretty much disappeared. Quote
Members JustinPierce Posted March 12, 2017 Members Report Posted March 12, 2017 I would think that liners would be a good use for it. Quote
