Members gamli Posted April 11, 2017 Members Report Posted April 11, 2017 Looking to make a ring purse. Does anyone know of a source for the rings? Quote
Members Jarred Posted April 28, 2017 Members Report Posted April 28, 2017 Are you looking to make a chain mail purse? If so I get rings from amazon, just look chain mail links. I believe they're aluminum and they just bend in place so not the most secure, but if its not something that you're going to beat on they work fine. Quote
Members AZNightwolf Posted April 28, 2017 Members Report Posted April 28, 2017 for something a little sturdier you can use tiny key rings (split rings) but they're a pain to work with Quote
Members gamli Posted April 30, 2017 Author Members Report Posted April 30, 2017 Jarred I'm looking to make a pouch that uses a large ring at the top for an opening. You lift the ring and the top of the pouch opens. When you let go of the ring gravity closes it. There are examples on "Purses in Pieces". Fyi another source fir chain maille links is The Ring Lord. They have everytype of ring you can think of from Aluminum to Gold. Quote
Members Peter Darby Posted May 23, 2017 Members Report Posted May 23, 2017 I used macramé rings from a hobby store. Strong round and available in various sizes. Quote
