Custom leather embossing stamps

Hi all!

Any suggestions on where to find a custom embossing stamp for larger items?   I've seen smaller stamps for something like a makers mark, but I'm looking for stamps that could be as large as 12" x 5" that has a custom shape.  I would like to potentially place this in a hydraulic press to stamp/emboss a mass produced item.

besides myself, most stamp makers can do a larger stamp. we just generally get asked to only do a small one. The largest I've done is 10x12 but I can do up to a 1 foot by 2 foot on the laser and up to 50" on the CNC.  what can be done will obviously depend on the design.

Is there a specific format of the design that you would need (PDF, jpeg,etc)?

most formats will work. I personally use corel draw which can import bitmaps, pdf, eps, vectors from other programs.  I would suggest that if it is anything other than a bitmap - make sure to convert any text to curves. Otherwise if the exact same font isn't on the host computer, a substitution automatically occurs. cheers!
