Raksha Report post Posted June 13, 2018 All righty then, I want to make a dog leash. I want it sturdy but with a nice soft touch. I have 3,5 mm veg.tan natural leather. The question is: When do I start to treat the leather with oil/wax to get it soft? If I want to dye it, do I wait untill I have had my finish on top before I start the oiling treatment? Before?
