Members CelticPrint Posted February 5, 2019 Members Report Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) Looking for tips on how to make one continuous piece of leather go stiff-flexible-stiff. I.E. if it's a 12 inch by 3 inch strap of leather and I want 5 inches stiff on each end but have 2 inches remain flexible in the middle section what would be the best plan of approach? I'm thinking partial water baths in 170° (76.6° C.) Project is a black jack/ sap. My friend says his is too stiff to fold and put in his pocket. He is asking me to make one that is stiff throughout but flexible enough in the middle to fold up and put in a jacket pocket. Yes they are legal to carry here.
