I have a leather piece dyed, and now sealed with resolene ( edges are sealed with tan cote). it's to go outside on a bike..I'm thinkin could I use neat oil on it and then a coat of sno paste? or maybe a coat of angelus acrylic finisher after the resolene? or maybe the neatsfoot oil and then angelus? hmm or what about just spraying some tan cote over after the resolene? lol looking to preserve this piece that's gonna be outside in the elements..who's got any input.. lol..anyone out there got 2 cents they'd like to throw in here? always appreciated...fire when ready!?

You have already sealed it with resolene, so you are too late to oil it. Tan cote is about the worst there is as far as finishes. Not quite sure why you want to use numerous finishes instead of one. The chances of failure keep going up when you keep stacking on different kinds of finish.

cause I'm new and don't know any better lmao, and just trying to make sure I can preserve it the best I can. Standard crap..so many things to use and so many opinions..OVERLOAD!! ..lol so the resolene is fine on it's own then? would you add anything else to keep it protected against the elements? I have airbrushed 2 coats of resolene on and plan on a third tomorrow..thougths on that? btw..thanks for taking the time to respond. much appreciated.

You will find that there are a number of finishes and a number of ways to use them. A couple coats of risonine should be ok. I personally would use sheen, but have no reason for that.
