Looking For Armor Adjustments In The Boston Area

Recommended Posts

I have some fantasy armor, a breastplate and a helm, that need some adjustments. The BP is latgo leather and quite stiff. I'd like part of it folded down to better accommodate my body shape. The helm is somewhat large on my head and I would love suggestions on how to make it fit better. In addition, it may need to be reconditioned.

Happy to travel outside of Boston to NH, CT, or RI.

Difficult to give advice without pics...

If there is a way to attach a suspension inside your helm, I'd recommend getting one from an old army helmet (the old PASGT ones...not the newer ones) and use that to adjust fit on your helm...if not, they sell foam "donuts" to go inside army helmets -- you could try putting a couple of those in to help it sit higher on your head...again, hard to tell how to fix it without knowing where it's too big (top to bottom or circumference).
